As part of the Spring Narrative Studio, you will join a team of like-minded collaborators, guided by an expert instructor and special guests from the film industry, to create a short narrative film that is worthy of film festivals around the world. Over the course of this 10-week program, you will learn how to write a screenplay, navigate the pre-production process, film with a dedicated team, and edit using industry-standard software. By the end of the course, you will feel confident in your ability to use cameras, light a scene, and record high-quality sound. You will gain hands-on experience with access to our camera, lighting, and sound kits, a recording studio, and editing computers equipped with the Adobe Creative Suite and other software.
The Spring Narrative Studio concludes with an opportunity for your production team to premiere your original short film in a supportive and collaborative environment, as part of our Spring Showcase,celebrating your achievements! If you've ever wanted to take your first real step into the world of filmmaking, meet fellow collaborators, and receive personalized feedback and guidance from an experienced professional, this is the course for you!
This course is designed for advanced beginners aged 18 and older.
